Saving Your Work
AdFlex automatically saves your changes as you work, so you rarely have to worry about losing progress. Still, it is good practice to manually save important designs to your library so you can find, reopen, and reuse them whenever you need.
How to Save
Click the Save button in the top toolbar. Your design is stored in My Assets > Designs, where it stays available for future edits. Because the original design file is preserved, you can return later to tweak text, swap images, or resize it for a new platform without starting over.
Why Save Before Exporting
Exporting creates a flat image or video file, but saving keeps the editable project. Always save first so you keep a master version you can adjust, then export as many output files as you need from that same source.
Exporting Options
When your design is ready to download, click the Download button and choose the format that best fits where the file will be used:
- PNG: Best for high-quality images and transparent backgrounds. Ideal for social media posts and websites where sharpness matters.
- JPG: Smaller file size and good for photo-heavy designs, which means faster loading times when uploaded online.
- PDF: Best for printing or sharing documents that need to keep a fixed layout.
- MP4/GIF: For animated designs and videos, including clips made with the AI Video tools.
Choosing the Right Format
If you are unsure, PNG is the safest choice for static ads and graphics. Pick JPG when file size matters more than transparency, use PDF for anything headed to print, and reach for MP4 or GIF whenever your design includes motion.
Quality Settings
Before downloading, you can adjust the quality slider. Higher quality produces sharper results but larger files, while lower quality keeps files small and is better for quick sharing over chat or email. For paid advertising and printed materials, choose the highest quality available so your visuals look crisp on every screen and surface.
Publishing Directly
If you have connected your social accounts, you do not need to download anything first. You can publish or schedule your design directly to Facebook or Instagram straight from AdFlex. This keeps your whole workflow in one place: design, export if needed, and post, all without juggling files between apps.
Best Practices
- Save before every export: Keep an editable master in My Assets so you can make changes later.
- Match the format to the destination: Use transparent PNGs for layered graphics and JPGs for lightweight photo posts.
- Export at full quality for ads: Paid placements and print deserve the highest quality setting.
- Resize before you export: Set the correct dimensions for each platform first, so every download is sized right.
Common Issues
My file looks blurry
Raise the quality slider before downloading, and confirm your design was built at the right size for its destination. Exporting a small design and stretching it later will always look soft.
The file is too large to upload
Switch from PNG to JPG, or lower the quality slider slightly. A smaller JPG keeps photos looking good while loading faster.
My transparent background turned white
JPG and PDF do not support transparency. Choose PNG whenever you need a see-through background behind your design.
I cannot publish directly
Direct publishing only appears once your social accounts are connected. Connect Facebook or Instagram first, then the publish and schedule options become available.
