The Creative Hub
The Design Editor is where you bring everything together. It is a powerful yet intuitive tool for building and customizing your ads, whether you started from a blank canvas, a template, or an AI-generated asset.
Editor Interface Overview
The editor is organized into four main areas so everything you need is within reach:
- Left Sidebar: Access tools like Text, Photos, Elements, My Assets, and Brandbook.
- Canvas: The central area where you edit your design and see changes live.
- Top Toolbar: Context-aware tools that change based on what you select (for example, font options appear when text is selected).
- Right Panel: Layer management and page settings.
Key Features
Text Editing
Click any text to edit it. Use the top toolbar to change fonts, size, color, spacing, and effects such as shadows or outlines. Your Brandbook fonts are pinned to the top of the font list, so your campaigns stay consistent without hunting for the right typeface.
Images and Photos
Upload your own images or choose from our stock library. You can crop, filter, and remove backgrounds directly in the editor. To swap an existing photo, select it and drag a new image onto it, and the image will snap neatly into the frame.
Elements and Shapes
Add shapes, icons, stickers, and lines from the Elements tab to enhance your design, draw attention to an offer, or separate sections of an ad.
Colors
To recolor a background, shape, or text, select the element and open the color square in the top toolbar. You can choose from your Brand Colors, the colors already used in your document, or pick any custom color.
Layers
Manage the order of elements. Move items forward or backward to control what sits on top, and use the alignment options to keep everything balanced and tidy.
Working with AI Assets
The editor connects directly to everything you create across AdFlex, so AI content flows straight into your design:
- Go to My Assets in the sidebar.
- Drag and drop your AI-generated images or visuals directly onto the canvas.
- Resize and reposition them like any other element to fit your layout.
A Typical Workflow
- Start from a template or a blank canvas in the size you need.
- Replace the placeholder text with your own message and headline.
- Swap in your product photos or AI-generated visuals.
- Apply your Brand Colors and Brandbook fonts for a polished, on-brand look.
- Arrange layers, align elements, and review the final result.
Tips and Best Practices
- Set up your Brandbook first: Adding your fonts and colors before you start saves time on every future design.
- Use layers deliberately: Keep text on top of images so your message always stays readable.
- Leave breathing room: Avoid crowding the canvas, since clean designs convert better.
- Pick the right size early: Choosing the correct dimensions for your platform up front avoids awkward cropping later.
Common Issues
My changes are not saving
AdFlex saves automatically as you work. If you are unsure, you can also save manually, and your design will be stored in My Assets so you can reopen it anytime.
An element will not move
It may be locked or sitting behind another layer. Check the layer order in the right panel and make sure the correct element is selected.
My text looks cramped
Adjust the size and spacing in the top toolbar, or move the text to its own layer so it does not overlap busy parts of the image.
