How Credits Work
Credits are the currency that powers all AI features in AdFlex. Every time you generate AI content, create designs, or use premium features, credits are consumed from your account balance. Understanding how credits work helps you plan your projects and maximize your subscription value.
What Are Credits?
Credits are units that allow you to use AI-powered features in AdFlex. Think of them as tokens that unlock the platform's creative capabilities. Each feature has a specific credit cost, and you'll see the cost before confirming any generation.
What Each Feature Costs
Credit costs depend on the AI model and quality you choose, so the exact amount is always shown before you confirm a generation. As a general guide:
- AI Content (Text): generating the text itself is free — credits are charged when you generate the accompanying image.
- AI Images: the cost varies by the model and output resolution you select.
- AI Video: the most credit-intensive feature; animating an existing image (Image-to-Video) is more economical than generating from text (Text-to-Video).
- Product Photoshoot: the cost depends on the photoshoot type.
Tip: Always review the credit cost shown before confirming any generation.
How Credits Are Managed
Monthly Credit Allowance
Your subscription plan determines your monthly credit allowance:
- Free Plan - 30 credits per month
- Pro Plan - 1,000 credits per month
- Premium Team Plan - 5,000 credits per month
Credit Renewal
Credits renew automatically every month on your billing date. You don't need to do anything - your credit balance resets to your plan's monthly allowance.
Credit Expiration
Credits never expire as long as your subscription is active. If you don't use all your credits in one month, they roll over to the next month. However, unused credits are lost if you cancel your subscription.
Tracking Your Credits
You can monitor your credit usage in several ways:
- Check the credits display in the top navigation bar
- Visit Account > Credits to see detailed breakdown
- View your credit history and transactions
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Check Your Credit Balance
Before starting a project, check your available credits. Look at the top navigation bar or go to Account > Credits to see your current balance.
Step 2: Understand Credit Costs
Before generating content, AdFlex shows you how many credits will be consumed. Review this carefully, especially for video generation which uses more credits.
Step 3: Plan Your Usage
Plan your projects based on your credit balance. The exact cost of each generation is shown before you confirm and depends on the AI model and quality you choose.
Step 4: Monitor Your Usage
Regularly check your credit usage to avoid running out mid-project. You can see credits used, remaining, and gained in your account dashboard.
Tips & Best Practices
- Start with smaller projects to understand credit costs before tackling large campaigns
- Use templates when possible - they often require fewer credits than creating from scratch
- Plan video projects carefully as they consume the most credits
- Check your credit balance before starting time-sensitive projects
- Upgrade your plan if you consistently run out of credits
- Take advantage of free credits offered through promotions or referrals
Getting More Credits
Upgrade Your Plan
The easiest way to get more credits is to upgrade your subscription plan. Higher-tier plans offer significantly more monthly credits.
Purchase Additional Credits
If you need extra credits for a specific project, you can purchase them through your account settings. Additional credits are added immediately to your balance.
Free Credits
AdFlex occasionally offers free credits through promotions, referrals, or special events. Keep an eye on your email and the platform for these opportunities.
Common Issues
I ran out of credits mid-project
If you run out of credits, you have two options: upgrade your plan or purchase additional credits. Both options are available in your account settings.
My credits didn't renew
Credits renew automatically on your billing date. If they haven't renewed, check that your subscription is active and your payment method is up to date.
I want to see my credit history
Go to Account > Credits to view a detailed history of all credit transactions, including when credits were used and when they were added.
