What Are Brand Patterns?
Brand patterns are repeating visual elements that reinforce your brand identity beyond just logos and colors. They add texture, depth, and recognition to your marketing materials. AdFlex allows you to create custom patterns that can be used as backgrounds or overlays in your ads.
Creating a Custom Pattern
You can create patterns directly within the Brandbook.
Step 1: Access Patterns Section
- Go to Brandbook
- Scroll down to the Patterns section
- Click "Add Custom Pattern"
Step 2: Design Your Pattern
Use our pattern generator tools:
- Upload Element: Upload a small icon or shape to repeat
- Choose Style: Select how the element repeats (grid, brick, random)
- Adjust Scale: Change the size of the repeating elements
- Set Colors: Apply your brand colors to the pattern
Step 3: Save Your Pattern
Once you're happy with the design, click "Save Pattern". It will be added to your Brandbook assets.
Using Patterns in Designs
Your saved patterns are automatically available in the Creative Studio.
Applying as Background
- Open a design in the editor
- Go to the Background tab
- Select "Brand Patterns"
- Click a pattern to apply it to the background
Applying as Overlay
You can also use patterns as subtle overlays on images or solid colors to add texture without overpowering the design. Adjust the transparency slider to get the perfect look.
Tips for Great Patterns
- Keep it subtle: Patterns should support your message, not distract from it.
- Use brand icons: Create patterns using elements from your logo.
- Check contrast: Ensure text remains readable when placed over a pattern.
Common Issues
My pattern looks blurry
If you're uploading an element to repeat, make sure it's a high-resolution PNG or SVG.
The pattern is too busy
Try increasing the spacing between elements or reducing the opacity of the pattern layer.
