Publish Directly from AdFlex
Once your Facebook and Instagram accounts are connected, you can publish to them without leaving AdFlex. The publish composer is a single window that lets you post to multiple channels at once, choose the right post type for each, write your captions, attach media, and see a live preview before anything goes out. This guide walks through the whole flow from opening the composer to hitting publish.
If you have not connected your accounts yet, start with Connecting Facebook & Instagram, then come back here.
Step 1: Open the Composer
Open the publish composer from the Publish action in AdFlex. It opens as a focused window with two sides: a form on one side where you build your post, and a live preview on the other that shows how it will look. Everything you need to create and send a post lives here.
Step 2: Select Channels
Choose where the post should go. The composer supports multi-channel publishing to Facebook and Instagram, so you can select one or both. Each channel you select gets its own form section, which means you can tailor the content per channel rather than forcing one identical post everywhere.
Step 3: Choose a Post Type
Pick the format that fits your content. The composer supports three post types:
- Post: A standard feed post.
- Story: A vertical, full-screen post that is typically temporary.
- Reel: A short-form vertical video.
Because each channel has its own form, you can choose the post type that makes sense for each platform you selected.
Step 4: Add Caption and Media
Fill in the per-channel form with your caption text and attach your media (image or video) for the post type you chose. This is where you write the words your audience will read and pick the visual that goes with them. If you are posting to both channels, complete the form for each one.
Step 5: Preview
Check the live preview panel. As you fill in the form, the preview updates to show how your post will appear, so you can catch a cropped image, a typo, or a caption that runs long before you publish. Reviewing the preview is the best way to avoid surprises once the post is live.
Step 6: Publish or Schedule
When everything looks right, you have two choices. Publish now sends the post to your selected channels immediately. Alternatively, you can schedule it: the composer also works in schedule mode, letting you set a future date and time so the post goes out automatically later. For a full walkthrough of scheduling and the calendar, see Scheduling Posts on the Calendar.
Common Questions
What is the difference between a Story and a Reel?
A Story is a vertical, full-screen post that is usually temporary, good for quick updates and behind-the-scenes moments. A Reel is a short-form vertical video meant for reach and entertainment. The composer lets you choose either one as your post type.
Can I post to Facebook and Instagram at the same time?
Yes. The composer supports multi-channel publishing. Select both Facebook and Instagram, and each gets its own form section so you can tailor the caption and media per channel before publishing.
How accurate is the live preview?
The preview panel updates as you build the post and reflects your selected channel, post type, caption, and media, so it gives you a reliable look at the result before you publish. It is the recommended last check before sending.
Can I schedule a post instead of publishing immediately?
Yes. Instead of publishing now, set a future date and time and the post will be sent automatically. See Scheduling Posts on the Calendar for the calendar view and scheduling details.
